The Griven Kolorado MK2 2500 is an architectural colour changer built for covering large areas or greater distances, and for use in higher ambient light conditions. It uses a CYM colour mixing system for uniform colour coverage and runs from an HMI 2500W lamp. Its IP44-rated, aluminium and galvanised steel body with black epoxy powder coat makes it suitable for both exterior fixed installations and portable use.

The Kolorado MK2 2500 is made by Griven. It shares the same wide-angle output and CYM colour mixing system as the smaller Kolorado MK2 1800, but its higher light output allows it to cover greater areas or distances and perform effectively in brighter ambient conditions. The Kolorado MK2 2500 uses an HMI 2500/GS lamp with an SFA 21-12 base, rated at 500 hours and delivering 240,000 lumens. A long-life MSA 2500W lamp variant is also available, offering a 2,000-hour lamp life and a slightly higher output of 260,000 lumens. The ballast unit can be separated from the main unit by up to 20 metres.

The Kolorado MK2 2500 supports two control modes: selectable built-in pre-programmed colour blend sequences with speed control, or full DMX512 operation including remote lamp on/off. A standby function automatically cuts power consumption by 33% when a blackout has been active for more than 15 seconds, reducing running costs during idle periods.
