Used Strand Castor Fresnel Spotlight units are compact 2000/2500W studio fresnels widely used as general purpose key lights and backlights in studios and on location. The Strand Castor Fresnel Spotlight is a compact studio fresnel popular as a general purpose keylight and backlight in both studio and location environments. Designed primarily for the 2000W CP41 lamp, it can also accept a 2500W CP94. The stirrup is fitted with a 29mm spigot, and a rotary power switch is included. A dual-wattage variant uses a 4-pin lampholder to take the CP30 lamp, with two separately switchable 1.25kW filaments providing either 1.25kW or 2.5kW output. Both manual and pole-operated versions are available, with the manual variant well suited to location lighting use.
