About the d & b Audiotechnik D40
The d & b Audiotechnik D40 is a mobile-specific four-channel Class D amplifier designed for high-efficiency d & b systems. It delivers a maximum output of 4 x 2400/2000 W into 4/8 ohms via NL4 speaker outputs, and accommodates up to 16 input channels comprising eight Milan audio inputs, four analogue inputs and four AES3 channels. The D40 incorporates switchable filtering, user-definable equalisation and delay, plus d & b LoadMatch to preserve tonal balance across cable runs of up to 70 m. A switch-mode power supply with automatic mains range selection and active Power Factor Correction ensures stable performance under adverse mains conditions. Network control is available via Ethernet using the AES70/OCA protocol, through an integrated web interface or d & b R1 Remote software. The unit occupies 2 RU in a 19-inch rack and weighs 13.8 kg.
