Tips to help sell your used gear fast

If you have gear sitting in storage collecting dust then it’s probably time to sell it and give it a second life.

At 10K Used Gear we try to make selling easy for our customers by giving them two options – through our website or auctioning. Here are a few quick tips for when you’re selling through us.

Be Honest and proud

Show your gear as it really is. A few clear photos and a short, genuine description are worth more than fancy wording (extra bonus points for a video). Remember to get multiple angles, no one likes to buy a product where they can only see it front on. Don’t hide scratches or any damages –  buyers appreciate honesty, and transparency. You want the buyer to be able to trust you, think of it as you’re the one interested in buying – what would you want to see? 

Give it some love before listing

Clean the lenses, check cables, replace missing parts- little details make a huge difference. A tidy and well kept item says it’s been looked after and instantly makes it more appealing compared to other products. 

Price it realistically

Everyone wants top value, but pricing too high will just make your gear sit unsold. Check what similar items go for, then stay in that range. Remember: fair pricing moves gear quickly and keeps money flowing back into your next upgrade. Our team can help you with pricing.

Bear in mind we are a UK company based in Kent, therefore any products that need selling will have to be delivered to our warehouse so we are able to take the best pictures for your auction..
