ETC, the birth of a company

Founded in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1975, ETC was begun with the belief that there was a better way to make a lighting control console. A group of university students created a microprocessor-based console that outdid other boards on the market at the time.

That entrepreneurial spirit grew into an award-winning business with offices in seven countries and more than 1,000 employees worldwide. And with over 300 authorized service centers, staffed by certified technicians, customers are never far from an ETC resource.

Since its beginning, the company has earned an industry reputation for unmatched technical and customer service. Among thousands of customers worldwide we find theaters, restaurants, schools, television studios, houses of worship, casinos, museums, theme parks and opera houses.
